With the stand up paddel boards  currently on boat and arriving to Honolulu  And me still getting ready for the adventure retreats in the summer wich I
know will come faster than I think. . I am finding my self with less time to adventure  as I would like. I did do a jaunt to sleeping giant again and am
great ful it is so close to the surf house .I envy one of my buddies tommy(\aka. The whiz. Who is currently traveling abroad to Thailand and
Tokyo. I  spent some time on Oahu renting a storage space and  getting
ready for the sups  to arrive I would have liked some time to surf , but had to deal with a lot of paperwork for customs .
 Back on Kauai I got a chane to surf again and noticed the rust from my week off from the waves. , I am now trying to figure wich high school
papers to advertise in for this years adventure retreat I hope we can find  kids who always wanted to come to Hawaii with a thirst for adventure .  I am sure
That helping quench a thirst like that is a job I will never get tired of , C. kamalani

trying to do a blogg every week is proving a challenge for me , it was an Eventful week and a half for sure as i went to oahu for some arrangements on  a container full of paddleboards that i got and some of them wich will be used in the adventure retreat in the summer . i surfed a bit on the north shore but stayed in close to shore away from the busy oahu crowds..tried the famous matsumoto shaved ice  in haleiwa. (jojos on kauai is a lil better)

back on kauai surfed a bit went to my normal party thursday party at jerrys that   was just so happened on new years eve , stayed  there until just after 12 had a great time as always. looking foward to a great 2010

on sunday 1/2 2010 i finally got up the nerve to do the 8 mile roundtrip hike to hanakapiai falls , it is probaly the longest i plan to hike as  i am not a marathon hiker . it was a cool hike while my legs were still fresh , as we made our 2 mile trek to our first stop hanakapia beach as we approached there was a sign on the way that read" hanakapia beach has  killed a bunch of visitors" as they marked each one it seems reminding people how dangerous it was , as we headed up to our main stop  we cam a cross a bamboo forest as well as an acient hwaiian hieau , getting to the falls was a bit muddy and i fell about 3 times(noy bad thou) i was n't expecting much from the falls as the falls i do my tours on are really hard to beat , i was pretty blown away when i got there to the height of the falls they are pretty close to the falls i do my tours with in grander but are just a lot hardert to get to

someday when i am old and my body gives out and my hiking days are behind me i am sure i will  have even more appreciation for my 8 mile hike.

i am getting excited  and planning for the upcomig adventure retreat season  , this week went to the top of  sleeping giant hike right near the surf house and took this amazing video of the spectacular view

i love taking people up there as the view never dissapoints.

 i placed an ad in mater dei school paper scheduled for january/feb

i hope to get some great groups this year who are ready for fun and adventure .

i didn't get to surf this time but  gave a boogie boarding lesson to mu buddy tom .

we had to stop at jojos shaved ice each way down  as we all love shaved ice.
